Revv G2 Overdrive Pedal-Gold Chassis Limited Edition

Revv G2 Overdrive Pedal

Let’s dive into the Revv G2 Overdrive pedal in the limited edition gold chassis!

Revv started the G-series pedals as a way to recreate the sound of their iconic amplifiers just in a smaller package.

They certainly delivered with the G2 Overdrive pedal!

Whether you want to brighten your cleans, add chimey distortion to your high gain tone, or boost your creamy lead tones this pedal can do it all.

G2 Pedal Features
Revv G2 Overdrive Gold

To start off the G2 pedal’s voicing is based off Revv’s ‘green channel’ from their Generator amplifiers.

Since it is based off their ‘Green Channel’ the pedal originally came in green, but is now offered in a limited edition gold chassis version.

I personally think the gold is super classy looking.

The pedal comes with five knobs and one switch which we will break down.

First there is a dedicated 3 band EQ. This is always important to help really lock in your desired tone.

Next it has a gain knob to help you really dial in your preferred distortion.

It also comes with a master volume knob.

Finally there is the Drive switch. This has three settings: Blue, Off, or Red.

With the Drive switch in the off position you can get clear tone shaping, while still getting a powerful boost.

Put the Drive switch to Blue and you get touch-sensitive crunch tones. The Blue option also gives you dynamic overdrive tones.

Lastly we have Red which gives you those beefy, sustaining amp distortion tones.

Using the Drive switch, Gain knob, and 3 band EQ you could really dial in your own unique sound.

Final thoughts!
Revv G2 Overdrive Green

I absolutely love Revv amplifiers. I think they are a really great brand. I personally love the high gain, and distortion tones you can get out of this.

Even if you don’t have a Revv amplifier the G2 Overdrive pedal can still be a great addition to your rig.

The pedal is $229.00. To get your Revv G2 Overdrive pedal head over here
